Ebook Readers Not Made In China
All ebook readers are made in China with the exception of Kobo. There are some reports of Nook being built in the same manufacturing facility as Kobo, but we have not seen any proof of that.

Kobo
Kobo is owned by Rakuten, a huge Japanese company that is the Amazon of Japan. Their ebook readers are innovative and highly performant. In some respects they even beat the Amazon Kindles in the features. Kobo ebook readers are manufactured in Taiwan.
Nook
Barnes and Noble makes the Nook ebook reader. They are falling behind in their design and generally are not as good as the leading ebook readers Kobo and Kindle. Their glowlight series of ebook readers is manufactured by the same manufacturer as Kobo in Taiwan.
